RAIL passengers are being urged to join a campaign calling for better train services in north Kent.
Kent County Council (KCC) is asking railway users to report any issues they have with trains in the area so they can be included in presentations to the government.
Southeastern currently has the franchise for trains in Kent, and although the contract is due for renewal in 2012, it could be extended to 2014.
KCC cabinet member for highways Nick Chard recently met with Transport Minister Theresa Villiers and a passenger group from north Kent to discuss railway service concerns.
He said: “Work needs to start now if we are going to shape the future of rail services for passengers in Kent.”
