A WOODLAND has won an award for being one of the best green spaces in the country.
Jeskyns Community Woodland in Cobham has been given a prestigious Green Flag award for the third year running, after judges praised it for being a superb place.
Inspectors for the competition, which is a government scheme, found the woodland has an excellent use of green space, well-maintained facilities and high standard of safety and security.
Jeskyns ranger Denise Bird said: "Jeskyns is getting better and better each year and we would like to thank all our volunteers and visitors for making it such a special place."
Jeskyns, which is owned by the Forestry Commission, opened to the public in 2007 and receives around 200,000 visitors a year.
