POLICE are investigating the stabbing of a 15-year-old boy.
Officers were called to Fairlawn Park, Sydenham, at 11.45pm on Tuesday (July 27) to reports of a stabbing.
They found Charlie Clayton, who is believed to be a friend of Nick Pearton who was stabbed to death on May 5 in Home Park, Sydenham.
The teen was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
A neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: “I just heard some shouting outside and then a car screech.
“One of the kids came running in to the house saying Charlie had been stabbed. I can’t believe it.”
The mother-of-six says she has known Charlie for ten years.
She said: “Charlie’s a lovely boy. All he does is sit on his wall.
“They are saying its gang related but it’s not.
“No one knows who they are or where they came from.
She added: “The word on the street is that it’s not related to what happened to Nick.
The resident says lighting and cameras need to be put up in Home Park to make it safer.
No arrests have been made.
