POLICE are appealing for information following a break-in at a jewellery store.

High-value designer watches were taken by four thieves who forced their way into the Fraser Hart store in Bluewater Shopping Centre, Greenhithe, at around 12.30am on July 25.

The thieves used crowbars to force the front shutters of the premises in Lower Thames Walk.

They wore gloves and concealed their faces with hoods.

Detective Inspector Chris Collier from North Kent Police Station said: “We know that four people broke into the store but think a fifth may have been waiting in a dark-coloured Maserati sports car, which was in a car park close to House of Fraser.

“The thieves took care to hide their faces and took bags into the store with them which they filled with the watches.

“We know that there were still some people around at that time of night, visiting the cinema, and would urge anyone who say anything suspicious to get in touch.”

If you have any information, contact Detective Inspector Collier on 01474 366040.
