A 10-YEAR-OLD boy is celebrating after receiving an award for his work within St John Ambulance.
Kyle Alexander, who has cerebral palsy, is a member of the Hither Green Badger Sett of St John Ambulance London District.
The youngster won the Roy Follett Badger of the Year at the national Badger Awards.
The annual competition is organised by St John Ambulance and enables individuals and Setts to be put forward for their hard work.
Kyle, who has been a member since he was five, achieved all 15 of the subjects which Badgers attempt to conquer during their time in the programme.
Badgers are aged five to 10 and learn practical first aid skills, crafts, citizenship and social skills.
