THAMESMEAD'S second pre-season friendly ended in defeat at Bayliss Avenue against fellow south Londoner's Dulwich Hamlet 3-1 on Tuesday night.
Kevin James opened the scoring for the visitors on 21 minutes who were then thankful to keeper Dave King three minutes before the interval as he tipped Lew Tozers header over the bar from a Ryan Briggs corner.
The game was effectively put beyond The Mead before the hour mark as two quick fire goals from Sol Pinnok (58) and Nyren Clunis (60) put Dulwich in control.
At the other end Briggs looked to have carved out a 64th minute goal when his pin point cross picked out James Campbell whose effort drifted narrowly wide.
Mead did pull a goal back 14 minutes from time when the Momundo twins combined beautifully as Gabriel converted Raphael's cross.
This proved merely a consolation goal though against an impressive, quick and lively Dulwich outfit.
