A STABBING victim has been charged with the murder of Lenny Kempley.
Ross Lewis Flynn and Mr Kempley were both stabbed near the Downham Tavern in Downham Way, Downham, at around 11.50pm on July 17.
Mr Kempley, 54, of Edward Tyler Road, Grove Park, was taken to a south London hospital but he died less than an hour later.
Flynn was taken to a separate south London hospital to recover and he was arrested there last Wednesday (July 21).
He was charged with Mr Kempley’s murder yesterday and he will appear via virtual court at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court today (July 28).
Police have not released details of the 27-year-old’s address.
Four other people who were arrested in connection with the murder investigation are on bail until next month.
They are a man in his 30s, two 22-year-old men and a woman, whose age is yet known.
