POLICE are offering a £20,000 reward to catch the people who carried out the ‘brutal execution’ of Nathan Williams a year ago today (July 28).
The 24-year-old died after he was shot several times in Ludwick Mews, New Cross, on July 28 last year.
Police were called to the street at around 1.30am to reports of shots fired and found Mr Williams in a VW Golf suffering from serious injuries.
He was taken to Kings College Hospital, Denmark Hill, where he died from his wounds.
Witnesses have told police four men may have been involved in the death of Mr Williams, who lived in Kennington.
But so far only one man has been arrested and he was later released without charge.
On the one year anniversary of Nathan's death, Trident officers are offering a £20,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and prosecution of the person responsible.
Investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Gordon Allison said: "It's now a year on from Nathan's murder and we believe that the local community hold the answers as to who did this.
"This was a brutal execution of a young man and those who did this should not be tolerated by the community - if you have information I would urge you to come forward and work with police, who can protect your identity.
“Nathan's family deserve justice for their loss and the community deserve to live without fear of those who commit these terrible crimes."
Officers will be in and around Ludwick Mews tonight after 7pm handing out appeal leaflets and talking to the community.
Anyone with information about the murder should call the police on 020 8247 4554 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
