Members of HOPE at the ball
A COMMUNITY group held an Asian themed summer ball to bring people from different cultural backgrounds together.
HOPE held the ball at Dartford Technology College in Heath Lane , and the event included talks by a motivational speaker and representatives from Kent police.
More than 200 people attended the ball, and HOPE organiser Diljeet Nota said: “The aim was to unite families from different cultural backgrounds and inspire confidence in the local community.”
HOPE has 35 members and meets at day centre Peppercorns in Orchard Street, Dartford, every Thursday at 10am, for a range of activities including yoga and swimming. For more information about the group, call Mrs Nota on 07789 671315.
