A KEBAB shop has been refused permission to sell alcohol after councillors heard a series of objections.
Charcoal Grill, in Station Road, West Wickham, put in an application to sell alcohol between 11am and 1am Sunday to Thursday and 11am to 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Bromley Council’s licensing sub-committee turned it down following 25 objections over fears the granting of an alcohol licence would lead to an increase in nuisance and disorder.
West Wickham councillor Nicholas Bennett, who spoke against the application at the meeting, said: “The sale of alcohol is likely to be consumed in the street and will add to the existing nuisance and be a potential flashpoint for disorder.”
