VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help raise money to keep an air ambulance flying.
Kent Air Ambulance Trust, which runs the helicopter ambulance that serves the county, are urging people to volunteer to collect money in their local area between September 23 and 25.
This collection will be part of Air Ambulance Week, which aims to raise £20,000 towards the £1.7m it costs the charity to keep the helicopter flying each year.
A Trust spokesman said: “Volunteers can be individuals, clubs, groups, societies or business organisations, and they do not have to sign up or commit to further fundraising.”
Anyone interested in becoming a temporary volunteer to help the helicopter, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, can call Amy Salter on 01622 833833.
