A Buddy Holly themed tribute night has raised £1400 for Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice.
The 50's-themed night was held last Friday (23 July) at Sidcup & Footscray United Services Club, Sidcup to raise money for the Abbey Wood-based Hospice.
Over 130 people attended.
The resurrection of the rock 'n' roll legend Buddy Holly was performed by Buddy Holly tribute act Adam Barnard from Dartford, Kent.
Community Fundraiser Julie Lawrie-Raison said: "This was the first time this event has been held but I am sure it will not be the last. The event sold out - which shows a great demand for this type of night. Everyone had a brilliant time, and the £1400 raised through ticket sales and a raffle is absolutely fantastic. Thanks to everyone who came along and enjoyed the show."
