A RECENTLY elected councillor has been out on patrol to see policing in action.
Richard Scoates joined the Darwin safer neighbourhood team (SNT) as they patrolled the ward to get to grips with the issues they deal with on a daily basis.
This also allowed the 25-year-old Darwin ward councillor to see how the team has built up relationships with the community.
Cllr Scoates said: “It is good to see the team operating on our streets and working with local residents to combat crime; they are doing an excellent job.”
Darwin SNT head Sergeant Katey (corr) Martin said: "Richard's visit enabled me to demonstrate to him the energy and commitment of my officers in policing Darwin.”
Cllr Scoates was elected to Bromley Council as the councillor for Darwin ward in May.
