ST MARY CRAY: Car fire spreads to field
A CAR fire caused a blaze in a field in St Mary Cray last night (July 25).
Firefighters were called to the scene in Star Lane at around 10pm to reports of around 50 acres of grass being on fire.
When they arrived they found a vehicle which had been dumped and set alight.
The flames from this fire had spread to the nearby field.
It took crews from Orpington, Dartford and Sidcup around four hours to put out the blaze.
