A PARISH council has given a total of £1,000 in grants to community groups.
Stone Parish Council has given money for equipment and trips to Brent 6th Dartford Winnipeg Beavers, Stone Saxon Beaver Colony, Stone Elm Cub Pack, 1st Fleet Rainbows, and 1st Stone Guides.
The council has also donated to Stone Modern Sequence Dance and Gravesend and Dartford Friendship Centre to help with the cost of Christmas lunch for each organisation.
Councillor Thurza Richards said: “The council feels very strongly about supporting vital local organisations and is pleased to be able to contribute towards the groups’ good work.
“The community rely on organisations such as these for social and recreational needs and the council is committed to ensuring there is a good choice for everyone.”
