A TAKEAWAY owner is set to stand trial for manslaughter after a teenage girl died in his shop from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Chelsea Wright, 16, was found dead and 18-year-old Tom Hoyne was found unconscious at Erith Fried Chicken in Erith Road, Bexleyheath, on March 16 last year.
Amman Cheema, of Earl Road, Gravesend, is accused of the manslaughter of Chelsea and causing GBH to Mr Hoyne, and will stand trial at the Old Bailey on November 8.
It is alleged the death of Chelsea, who lived in Brunswick Road in Bexleyheath, and the injuries sustained by Mr Hoyne, of Fendyke Road, Belvedere, were caused by a heater inside the takeaway.
Cheema, 34, also denies perverting the course of justice, after allegedly telling Mr Hoyne to make a statement against the GBH charge.
