A SHORTAGE of members has left a fundraising group at risk of closure.
Bromley Lions was founded in 1986 and since then has raised thousands of pounds for charities and community groups.
But now with only 12 members it has had to cancel its main event of the year, the Bromley Carnival.
It is appealing for new people to join up so it can continue raising money.
Lions spokesman Colin Latham said: “I believe that people are so committed to their work and families that they have not got the time to help.
“If we do not get the members, we can see it being the end of the club.”
Email Bromley Lions for details about joining.
