CYCLING in the borough got another boost when pupils at schools across the borough were invited to a Bike event at the David Ives Sports Stadium in Erith.
Young people were able to take part in workshops to learn about bike maintenance, safe cycling, using unusual bikes and exercise and healthy eating.
Theere were also two cycle races.
The first was a time trial involving four laps of the track and the second was a skills challenge on a cycling obstacle course.
Nearly 250 students took part from 17 schools.
The day was divided into two with secondary school pupils aged 11 to 14 in the morning and primary schoolchildren aged nine to 11, in the afternoon.
