HAVE you got what it takes to be a Games Maker for London’s 2012 Olympics?

The Olympics organisers are planning to recruit up to 70,000 dedicated and inspirational volunteers who represent the diversity of London, to take on a wide variety of roles for the Games.

And 1,500 volunteer jobs will be reserved for people aged under 18.

There will be those who can fill the specialist roles such as in medical services , sport or press operations and those who can fulfil a more general position such as spectator assistants, ticket checking and uniform distributors.

Applications open on July 27 for the specialist roles and general volunteers can apply from September 15.
