AS the summer holidays kick off, so do the activities to keep children busy.
This week (26-30) is Children’s Week in Thamesmead with activities daily at two venues in the town, for children aged five to 11 years.
They include games, crafts, puppets, art, cooking and lots more.
The fun takes place at the Arnott Community Centre in Arnott Close off Titmuss Avenue from 10am until noon and at the Church of the Cross in Lensbury Way from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Sessions cost 90p.
For teenagers there are workshops on DJing, MCing and radio presenting as well as performing and lyric writing.
These are open to young people aged from 13 to 19 years and take place at Hawksmoor Youth Centre in Bentham Road, from 10am until 4pm.
Places have to be booked. Call 020 8438 8282, with booking code AM01.
