THE dancing prowess of a couple from Bexley has been praised by two of the competitiors of the BBC hit show Strictly Come dancing.
Dave and Catherine Bellhouse of Erith Road, Bexleyheath, won a spin-off from the show while on holiday at the Nidd House Hall Hotel near Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
The couple used to dance regularly, but gave it up in 1997.
In the competition they danced a waltz to Are You Lonesome Tonight? in front of judges Camilla Dallerup, a champion dancer and Olympic swimmer Mark Foster, who appeared in the series.
Mrs Bellhouse said: “We had some very nice comments from the judges.
“We also enjoyed the dance classes leading up to the competition and were surprised how much we remembered from when we used to dance regularly.”
