DARTFORD Technology College’s girls’ archery team won gold at a county competition in Sevenoaks.
The DTC squad for the event at Wilderness School was made up of six girls.
Sophie Lockett, Charlie Cogswell, and Grace Newland competed in the U16 age group, while comprising Leanne Bailey, Zara Draper and Janki Vara battled it out in the U13s event.
Gold medalists in the pure score were Vara (U13) and Newland (U16).
In the handicap competition, where an allowance is given to each archer, the overall junior gold medalist was Cogswell, while Bailey took silver.
Ted Essex, teacher and county coaching officer for Kent, said: “This has been a wonderful day for the DTC archers and I thank the parents for their suppor, as well as the involvement of the Invicta coaches.”
