A SHOPLIFTER who stole cans of lager, chocolates and oil has been given a suspended prison sentence.
Terrance Tebbutt, of Hilltop Gardens, Dartford, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, suspended for six months, at Dartford Magistrates’ Court on July 7 after admitting three charges of shoplifting.
The court heard he stole 24 cans of Stella Artois worth £28.50 and 10 boxes of chocolates worth £35 from a Co-op store on April 5, and Castrol Oil worth £32 from a BP Express on April 14.
Tebbutt, aged 40, was also given a two-month curfew from 8pm to 8am and ordered to pay a total of £215 compensation.
