A 35-YEAR-OLD man has admitted illegally claiming more than £8,000 in benefits over a three-year period.
Abdul Sattar, of Wheathill Road, Penge, pleaded guilty to housing and council tax fraud between April 2007 and April last year.
Bromley Magistrates Court heard how Sattar was employed as a taxi driver and he was also the director of a restaurant.
Sattar was given a 12-month community order requiring 100 hours of unpaid work and also ordered to pay £250 court costs.
He also has to pay back the money he illegally claimed.
