SUPPORTERS of a centre for people with learning disabilities has hosted its first ever garden party.
And it was so successful, it looks like becoming an annual fixture for the Friends of Carlton Resource Centre.
The party, held at the centre in Carlton Road, Sidcup, featured cream teas and live music from band Jumping the Sharks as well as games, stalls and sideshows.
It was also an opportunity to showcase some of the work by clients at the centre including art, photography and jewellery.
Crochet work by one centre user, Cheryl Payne, was available to buy and she did a roaring trade.
The event raised around £300 for the centre.
