KELSEY Park Sports College hosted the inaugural QuadKids contest for Year 3 & 4 pupils last week.
The schools which took part were Balgowan, Chelsfield, Chislehurst, Green Street Green, Hawes Down, Hayes, Highfield, Highway, Oak Lodge, Parish, Pickhurst, Poverest, St Johns, Tubbenden & Worsely Bridge.
The competition was jointly organised by Bromley School Sports Partnership and 365 Athletics Academy.
It gave 120 pupils the opportunity to participate in individual events, which were a 50m sprint, a 400m run, a mini vortex howler throw and standing long jump, and a relay involving all of the children.
Each participant gained points based on their performance, which contributed to their team’s total.
Young leaders from Kelsey Park and Hayes & Langley Park School for Boys assisted in the smooth running of the contest.
After a very close competition, Balgowan were the eventual winners, with Parish runners-up.
Highfield’s Simon Bye and Balgowan’s Elouise Locke were the highest scoring boy and girl and both received 10 weeks of free coaching.
