TWO young musicians have finished runners-up in a busker competition.
Milly Upton, aged 18, from Sydenham and 17-year-old Izzy Harris from Lewisham form the band Husky George which finished second in the Mayor of London's Rhythm of London Busking Underground competition.
The pair's acoustic melody-driven tunes caught the imagination of judges after they uploaded their performances onto the competition's YouTube website.
London Mayor Boris Johnson said: "With over 32,000 performances in a year, London is the world capital for live music and this competition is about giving new musicians a real shot at success."
Winner Noemie Ducimetiere, 22, from Hackney scooped a year-long Underground busking licence with her gentle acoustic folk music.
