A HEALTH and fitness club owner has won an award for her commitment to the industry.
Annie Redelinghuys, 55, who owns Curves in Wellington Street, Gravesend, won a Future of Flame award after she supported women from ethnic and minority groups to exercise at the club and receive nutritional advice.
The award, established by the Fitness Industry Association, recognises dedication to health and fitness.
Mrs Redelinghuys said: “Not only did we manage to reach a group of women who would otherwise not have considered taking responsibility for their own health, but we managed to get multi-ethnic groups to mingle.
“It has been an amazing journey and our satisfaction is seeing the difference in the members in a variety of different ways.”
