THE hunt is on for people who add a little extra to life in Bexley.

Every year Bexley Council gives civic recognition awards to people who help others, have achieved something outstanding in their field, or committed an act of bravery.

There are two awards to recognise the wealth of voluntary work in the borough.

One is given to under-18s who have helped an organisation or individual and the other for over 18s who have spent a number of years acting as a volunteer.

The third award goes to an individual of any age or an organisation or business who has achieved something outstanding.

If you would like to nominate someone, call the mayor’s office on 020 8294 6102 or go to bexley.gov.uk/civicawards for a nomination form.
