THOUSANDS of pounds raised at a hospice family fun day will mean patients continue to receive excellent end-of-life care.
Around 1,500 people turned out for the annual St Christopher’s Hospice event held at its grounds in Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham, which made around £13,500.
There was a host of attractions at the fun day with entertainment for all the family ranging from stalls and face painting to fairground attractions and a fancy dress competition.
The hospice’s community fundraiser, Gemma Holt, said: “It was a really good amount raised but the fun day was more about letting the community know about what we do.”
