AN online map has been launched revealing the capital’s most dangerous neighbourhoods.
Set up by court reporters, the Murdermap.co.uk website allows users to see exactly where every murder has occurred and compare statistics for different years, specific boroughs and types of murder weapon.
It shows that, from 2008 to June this year, Lewisham had 17 killings - the fourth highest number in the capital behind Lambeth, Tower Hamlets and Southwark.
Greenwich had 14 murders in the same period.
Lewisham has had six murders this year alone - the same number it had in the whole of last year.
The website, which currently only features murders from 2008 onwards, eventually aims to chronicle every killing from the time of Jack the Ripper.
