A BARN dance has raised more than £2,300 for a cancer charity.
Flooring shop manageress Gemma Reeve, who works at AJ Rogers & Sons in College Road, Bromley, organised the evening after her father John was diagnosed with myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells in the bone marrow.
The 58-year-old’s cancer is currently in remission although it is likely to come back.
Cash was raised for Cancer Research through ticket sales to the dance at the Old Elthamians Sports Club in Foxbury Avenue, off Perry Street, Chislehurst.
Miss Reeve, 29, said: “This is my first charity event I have ever held and everyone had a great night.
“I want to say a big thank you to the people who supported the event.”
