TWO youth groups have been awarded nearly £19,000 in Lottery cash for their projects.
The funding has been given as part of the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All scheme which provides money to community and non-profit groups.
Both had been asked to make presentations on their projects to groups of young people before they secured the cash.
Greenwich’s Ideas Foundation charity was given £8,972 to provide training for young people and run a summer school week where participants will learn about media, design, advertising and communication.
In Lewisham, the Motiv8 ur Mind Enterprise received a £10,000 grant to set up a youth leadership and mentoring project aimed at young black men in the community.
