A LANDMARK redevelopment scheme has been handed an award.
The £1bn Kidbrooke regeneration scheme, which includes demolition of the Ferrier Estate, bagged the award for its ‘extra care housing’.
Those supported homes are designed for older residents who need care and support, providing self-contained flats with community facilities.
The awards are run by professional institutions the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Royal Town Planning Institute and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Leader of Greenwich Council Councillor Chris Roberts said: “The development is making real progress in transforming the area, creating a better environment and improving the quality of life for all residents and the extra care housing is a crucial element of this."
