OLDER people enjoyed a fun-packed afternoon featuring entertainment, activities and practical advice.
The Senior Moments event for Lewisham residents aged 55 or over was held in Friendly Gardens, Friendly Street, Deptford.
Along with fun activities and information on services and health, awards were also handed out to pensioners who have made a particular contribution to the area.
It was organised with the help of the Brockley Local Assembly and Lewisham Homes.
Lewisham Council cabinet member for older people Councillor Peggy Fitzsimmons said: “What with low pensions, the difficult current economic situation and other adverse conditions, this sort of event is so important, providing some welcome respite and fun."
