A DEVELOPER has received a £700,000 government grant to complete the construction of affordable homes.
Crest Nicholson has been given a £704,325 grant from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) to finish work on 23 affordable homes at the Ingress Park development in Greenhithe.
These homes are in Block 4C of the development, where around 1,000 homes have been built since 1999.
The grant is part of a £30m funding package the HCA has given to developers to kick-start afforable homes projects which had been stalled by the recession.
HCA director for the south east David Edwards said: “We will begin to take these projects forward with partners to deliver new and affordable homes for those communities that need them.”
