ELTHAM: Firefighters tackle postbox fire
A POSTBOX was set on fire in Eltham this morning (July 14).
Firefighters were called to the scene in Green Lane near the junction with Parkview Road after flames were seen in the box at around 12.50am.
The crew from Eltham fire station poured several buckets of sand into the box to extinguish the fire.
It took them around 20 minutes to deal with the incident.
