A PENSIONER has denied stabbing his son through the heart after an argument.
Ossie James, 74, is accused of knifing his 44-year-old son Joseph James in February 2009.
The victim was found lying in the hallway of the pensioner's home in Brockill Crescent, Brockley.
He had a wound to the back of his head and a knife wound to his heart.
Met Police forensic consultant Tony Larkin told the Old Bailey today (July 13) how there was a pool of blood in the kitchen one metre wide.
He claimed more bloodstaining found at the property could have been from the victim “dragging himself or being dragged across the floor.”
A blood-stained knife was found by police officers in a kitchen drawer.
Joseph James had been living with his father at the time of the incident, after moving there from his Deptford home.
His father denies murder.
The trial continues.
