A DRUG dealer has been given a 19-month jail term.

Colin Hoare, of Roehampton Close, Gravesend, had no idea he was being watched by police officers as he supplied cannabis to contacts.

At Maidstone Crown Court Hoare pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cannabis and supplying cannabis.

The court heard police officers witnessed the 47-year-old pass an item to the driver of a VW Golf during an operation in Roehampton Close, Gravesend, in September last year.

After the car was stopped, the occupant was found to be possessing cannabis.

Forensic tests linked Hoare to the deal.

In June last year, a search warrant was executed on a van parked in Roehampton Close.

Herbal cannabis worth around £5,000 was found and again Hoare was linked forensically to the drugs.
