A TV gardener was on the judging panel when a park was inspected for a top award.
Blue Peter gardener Chris Collins inspected Shorne Woods Country Park to judge it for the South and South East in Bloom competition, which celebrates places which are green and beautiful.
The 288 acre site off Brewers Road has been nominated for the Country Park category, with the winners announced at an awards ceremony in Gillingham on September 10.
Amanda Dunk, the park’s operations manager, said: “We have so many staff and volunteers helping us, which is essential for a park of this size, and we’re all aiming for a gold award in the contest.”
