HURSTMERE School Sports Partnership (HSSP) hosted its annual partnership games during national school sport week.
The event was attended by 440 primary school children, with all the activities run by HSSP sports co-ordinators and 160 sports leaders from secondary schools.
Each year group competed in a different sport.
Events included Year 1 multi skills, Year 2 tri golf, Year 3 boccia, Year 4 athletics, Year 5 mini rounders and cycling for Year 6.
For some youngsters this was their first experience of a new sport.
Throughout the event, children were encouraged to show the Olympic and Paralympic values of excellence, friendship, respect, courage, determination, equality and inspiration.
The team which demonstrated these values the most received the Middleton Murray Olympic Values Award.
In keeping with the Olympic theme, there were medals for those schools which finished in bronze, silver or gold positions.
HSSP development manager Sue Allsop said: “The sports leaders who ran the activities did a fantastic job and were such good role models for the younger children.
“We couldn’t have done it without them.”
