TOWNLEY Grammar School has continued to be successful in a wide range of sporting activities.
The athletics teams won both the junior and intermediate Bexley borough athletics championships, attaining numerous first places.
As a result, the girls were selected to represent Bexley in the Kent championships and the London Youth Games.
Townley also won the Beryl Davis Trophy, which is organised by Cambridge Harriers AC, where they won 23 golds, seven silvers and eight bronze medals.
Elsewhere, Townley’s teams have been well supported in a range of sports including netball, hockey, rounders, tennis, volleyball.
The Year 7 netball team won the Bexley League, while the Year 10 and Year 11 rounders teams won borough tournaments.
Townley’s A and B rowing teams were placed first and second in the recent Bexley (Woodside) School Sports Partnership competition.
A trio of students took part in the Bexley (Woodside) School Sports Partnership golf competition and came second in the team category, with Jessica Letchford winning the overall event.
