CLASSIC buses gave a free ride down memory lane to more than 1,800 people during a town centre celebration.
Bus lovers from across the south east travelled to Gravesend on Sunday (July 11) to take a ride on vehicles dating as far back as the 1940s, including Routemasters and Green Rovers.
The Classic Bus Day, organised by enthusiasts at Country Bus Rallies and Gravesham Council, saw services departing from Milton Place car park, off Ordnance Road, throughout the day.
A council spokeswoman said: “We recreated many of the original bus routes through Gravesham using authentic buses which have been lovingly preserved by enthusiasts.”
