With so many hot styles on the high street this season, Greenwich Shopping Park has shortlisted the top three trends to have you looking like a sun goddess this summer, whether you’re off to Barcelona or Brighton.
Bold summer prints
From bold Hawaiian prints to underwater themed graphics, make a statement this summer with digital prints in azure blues, bright purples and sea greens.
And get bonus fashion points for short outfits, so try out playsuits, mini-skirts and cute dresses in these bold colours for a sharp look.
The Hawaiian trend is simple to pull off, and there are so many tropical inspired dresses, shorts, vests and playsuits to choose from on the high street.
We especially love this gorgeous tropical flower print dress, £35, from Next (above right).
Top tip: Accessorise the underwater theme with bold eye make-up such as blue mascara and sea green eye palettes, available from Boots. And, team your tropical prints with a flower in your hair to complete the perfect beach babe look.
Jump to it
Designers including Stella McCartney, Lanvin and Givenchy are still in love with the jumpsuit this season, and so are we.
Opt for loosely tailored versions in light materials such as silk, cotton and linen, which are perfect for hot summer days and nights.
Team with chunky bangles, a metallic clutch and some killer heels for the perfect holiday outfit.
The embellishment on this jumpsuit from H&M adds a stylish twist.
Top tip: Dress down your jumpsuit for the day by wearing with a pair of sandals, sunhat, over-the-body bag and wavy beach hair.
Material girl
Matchy-matchy is so last season! This summer is all about print and colour clashes, while mixing materials and textures.
Think tweed teamed with silk, patterns paired with stripes, and don’t be afraid to put together the most luxurious materials such as velvet, silk and lace and wear them all at once.
River Island is a fan of this trend, pairing a scarf print knitted cardigan, £29.99 with a nautical inspired stripe skirt, £21.99, for a high fashion look.
Top tip: If the thought of a clash makes you cower, then opt for just an element of the trend by adding some material accessories such as bags, shoes, accessories or a hairband to your outfit.
Next, Boots, H&M and River Island are available at Greenwich Shopping Park, as well as other fashion retailers OUTFIT, New Look and Clarks.
