THE third annual Cray Festival was a roaring success, bringing the community together on a day of fun for families and friends.
Despite stiflingly hot weather, around 1,500 people poured into the St Mary Cray Recreation Ground in Park Road including Orpington MP Jo Johnson.
Highlights included a talent show, a gospel choir and a production of the Wizard of Oz, with other events ranging from theatre and music to a football tournament and martial arts.
Volunteer Nick Barclay, from organisers the Friends of Cray Valley Park, said: “The reason for this event is to bring together all the really vibrant communities from the Crays in one place.
“There was a real feel good factor.”
