Hello all Well I am really pleased it seems to be much busier her in the land of blog.
Ladies and Gents here’s a little thought to pose to you all, at what age does it becoming inappropriate to…….
a) Wear a bikini?
b) Wear short (over the knee dresses)
c) Have long hair
d) Wear speedos
e) Go topless (men and women)
Or you may have you own thoughts to pose.
The reason I ask, is that last Monday I went to a charity do with a couple of my work colleagues and my sister. The attire for woman was “Dazzling Dames”. Right now I feel about as far from a Dazzling Dame as it comes. So I opted for skinny black jeans, high sandals and a black flowy top with a few sparkles on it. My sister had a nice top and black trousers and high shoes, the young girl I work with had skinny jeans and a sparkly top. Other ladies had on the LBD which looked classy and one of my bosses wives had on a lovely 40’s style flowing dress with an amazing sparkling head band and she looked amazing. Another of my work colleagues, who is in her early 50’s opted for a very short sequined dress that you might find in say River Island or Top Shop. My sister was a bit aghast and said.. Hmmm surely at a “certain age” you wouldn’t wear a dress like that. Now this lady has a super figure….. don’t get me wrong with amazing legs… but I got where my sister was coming from the dress was just too “young” for her. Now if she had on a stylish LBD it would have had the same “Wow” factor but have been more classy.
I always worry about going on holiday. I want to get a tan, I don’t have the greatest of figures but I think well I’m on holiday I will never see these people again I will wear a bikini, but my sister and I were speaking with our friend who does out beauty and we both thought that now we were in our 40’s is it time to hang up the bikini for good and go for a tankini or swimsuit?
Men – speedos? Is it every appropriate?
Long hair on men and women – is there a time when you need to let it go?
Topless?? Over 40’s?
I would love to hear your opinions so I know what I should be packing for my next holiday in the sun.
