MAKING do and mending proved profitable for charitable students who staged a fashion show.
Bullers Wood School pupils raised £750 for Oxfam with their innovative Make Do and Mend event.
They created outfits by recycling and customising clothes from the Oxfam charity shop in Bromley High Street.
Three Year 12 art students designed the garments while a team of creative and media students organised and managed the event which took place at the school in St Nicolas Lane, Chislehurst.
Art and Design teacher Naomi Gudge said: “It was fantastic for the students to take responsibility, it was truly a student lead initiative.”
A display of the students' work can be seen in the Oxfam shop's window, located on Bromley High Street, until next Saturday (July 17).
