FORMER workers at the old David Evans silk mill in Bourne Road, Crayford, which closed in 2001, are being invited to relive their working days at an informal get together.
The event takes place at the central library in Townley Road, Bexleyheath, on July 21 between 2pm and 4pm.
The workers can meet up with old colleagues to swop memories over tea and biscuits and get the chance to view some rare memorabilia.
They will also be invited to take part in an oral history project being run by Eastside Community Heritage, which is exploring working lives in south east London.
Their reminiscences will be recorded and archived for the public at the University of East London.
The material will also be used in education workshops, a book, film and an exhibition.
