PUPILS showed business initiative at a gala day.
Pickhurst Junior School children aged from seven to 11-years-old, took part in workshops and learnt the basics of business, marketing and advertising.
Each class at the school in Pickhurst Lane, West Wickham, then designed unique products in preparation for the event.
The children presented their business ideas to a board of staff members and won a £100 grant towards each class project.
Their products ranged from pillows with built in pockets to intricate bracelets.
The winning Year 5 class sold painted pebbles and raised £495.
The whole event raised a total of £2,370.
Deputy head teacher Lynne Dando said: “The children are learning about real life and developing for future careers.”
