A TEAM of young motorcyclists have scored success in an annual endurance test.
Two Bexley teams from the Sidcup Motorbike Club and the Archway Project in Thamesmead, entered this year’s Trax Youth Enduro event in Oxford.
The event involves a series of intricate time trials and controlled skills tests to challenge riding skills and mechanical knowledge.
And the Sidcup team took second place in the trials and second place overall.
The motorbike projects are part of Bexley’s integrated youth support service .
Aimed at 11 to 19-year-olds, they allow youngsters to ride off-road in a safe environment and learn the skills to maintain a motorbike.
The young people also raise cash to buy and maintain the bikes.
Sidcup and Thamesmead both run a 10-week certificated course for youngsters living in the borough.
Eight of the three-hour sessions are spent in the workshop while the other two are riding at off-road sites. No previous experience is necessary.
